A pre-launch company needed a ten-person team — before it had a single sale.

Provyd is our founder’s pre-launch peptide-research company. Hiring out ops, compliance, content, SEO and intelligence early would have burned the runway before launch. Instead it runs on Hermes — the exact operating system NAZCO builds for clients — giving a tiny founder team the functional output of a ~10-role team, on infrastructure we own, for a fraction of a single hire’s cost.

The challenge

A pre-launch company needs a full team it can’t yet afford.

A new, regulated-category business has to do the work of a real company before it has revenue: market research, compliance review, inventory math, content, SEO, customer intelligence, ops, and reporting. Hiring all of those specialists early burns the runway before the first sale.

Generic AI chat doesn’t solve it. It forgets context between conversations, has no tools, no schedule, and no operating discipline. And in a sensitive category, a single unsafe claim can create payment-processor, platform, or legal risk. The answer wasn’t a smarter chatbot — it was an operating system.

The system · what we built

An operating system, not a chatbot.

Hermes runs like an operation, not a one-off prompt. It keeps persistent company memory, uses real tools, and works inside human guardrails — so nothing drifts and nothing happens without the founder’s approval.

How a task runs

A founder asks a question — and gets a recommendation, not an action.

The founder asks something like “how much stock should we order?” and gets back a researched, compliance-checked recommendation. The system never takes the real-world action — placing the order — without the founder’s approval.

The departments

Specialist skills, with a human gate on anything risky.

Specialist skills cover the functions a lean company needs — compliance, market intelligence, inventory, SEO, content, and customer intelligence — each with its own rules and a human gate on anything high-risk, like spend, outreach, or publishing.

Specialist skills across the whole operation — each with a human gate.

What we pay to run ita fraction of one hire

Based on 2026 US salary benchmarks for ~10 roles. Hermes compresses the first-pass and recurring output of these functions — the work of a ~10-role team, on infrastructure we own. It doesn’t replace licensed counsel, an accountant, fulfilment, or the founder’s final judgment. The saving is in not hiring every specialist before revenue supports it.

Why it works

Persistent memory. Real tools. Hard guardrails.

  • Reads the company brain before acting — no drift, no stale assumptions
  • Source-backed artifacts instead of loose chat answers
  • Recurring jobs run routine monitoring & founder briefings
  • Human approval on every spend, post, or supplier action
  • Successful workflows become reusable operating procedures
“We don’t sell theory. We run our own company on the exact system we build for clients.”
